Winners with multiple nominations
Three composers have won Oscars two years in a row:
- Franz Waxman, for 1950's Sunset Boulevard and 1951's A Place in the Sun ,
- Alan Menken for 1991's Beauty and The Beast and 1992's Aladdin , and
- Gustavo Santaolalla for 2005's Brokeback Mountain and 2006's Babel .
